David is a filmmaker based in New York, originally from Nashville.

He directed and edited A Place in the World (2025), a documentary about the British sculptor Garth Evans, with executive producers Steven Ascher and Jeanne Jordan.

Previously, he contributed editorial work to three New York Times Op-Docs (here, here, and here), the HBO docuseries Love Has Won (2023), and the documentary feature Some Kind of Heaven (2020).

He also made a bunch of music videos for Austin Weber, some sillier than others.

A billion years ago, David graduated from Harvard College. There, he received an Artist Development Fellowship and was a librettist for the Hasty Pudding Theatricals. His senior film, a documentary short titled Lewiston (2019), premiered at the Camden International Film Festival.
